2013 ford explorer high pitched noise

We recently purchased a new ford explorer and there is this high pitched noise coming from under the hood when the engine is turned off. If I wait 10 seconds or so before opening the door, the noise will stop. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
Dealership is an hour away and hate to make the drive if I don't have to.

We have the same issue only the noise remains at all times. Only stops when key is turned and engine off. Very annoying and Ford just tells us they all make this noise. I often drive without radio and unfortunately keen sense of hearing. Very disapointed.
