Hello all! This is my first time posting on the forum.

I have a question regarding some wiring with my LOC and amplifier I will be installing soon. I am installing an aftermarket 12 inch subwoofer and amplifier.

I have the 2013 Limited model with the Sony sound system, and the subwoofer and amplifier in the back. My question is - what wires should I tap my LOC hi/low converter into? Should I tap into L/R rear speakers or should I tap into the subwoofer?

I was originally planning on tapping them into the subwoofer wires running from the factory amplifier in the rear. I’ve done a lot of research and i’ve found some people saying the subwoofer connection produces muddy, uneven bass and other people saying the opposite.

So with that, I think I will tap into rear left and right wires and run those into my LOC, but not very confidently. If anyone has any advice please share!!

This forum has been extremely helpful so far! Thanks all!

Previous short discussion:

I'm going to try the subwoofer lines myself.
Since you have to disconnect the wiring harness from the sub anyway, you can just run the harness to the LOC without cutting into the car wiring. If the bass doesn't sound good, then try the rear door speaker lines, since those are coax speakers they may get the full freq range.
BTW, what LOC are you using? A Audio Control lc2i can readjust the bass and you don't have to find a remote turn-on wire for the LOC and amp.

Thanks

Fritz
