2012 Explorer XLT NA
Hi I have a 2014 Explorer XLT 3.5 NA. When I accelerate around 2nd-4th gear with light throttle I feel a shudder. It’s light but noticeable. Only around 2200-2800 RPM. Feels similar to a torque converter engaging and disengaging, only it happens about twice every second. When I accelerate harder it goes away and seems to perform perfect. I replaced all 6 plugs and bought a new coil pack and rotated it to each cylinder. With no success. I replaced the throttle body and it slightly helped which to me was odd. Has anyone else had this happen? 118,x.. miles

Welcome to this forum! Did you check the U joints for damage, and the wheels to see if they are balanced or if they have a shifted internal belt? Your post says that you have a 2014 Explorer but your profile shows a 2012 Explorer.

Welcome to the Forum.
There are several threads on types of "shuddering" that you can find using the Forum's 'Search' feature. Have you changed the transmission fluid or the PTU oil?
