2016 Explorer Limited - Front USB ports not working

Did you ever find a solution for this? I just performed the Sync 2 to Sync 3 upgrade on my 2016 Ford Explorer Sport and the same issue of the new USB module for CarPlay and the one under the arm rest no longer function. The one in the front doesn’t light up indicating it’s not being powered.

No I didn't.

As a temporary fix I pair my phone over Bluetooth for music, but is sub-optimal IMHO.

I did run a ODBII scan on it, only the free Android tool, and it did say something about a Comm error on one of the data lines/bus, can't remember the exact wording, and wondering if that has something to do with it, I have also lost the backup camera grid overlay, sensors still work, beeps ect, just grid is no longer displayed, toggling it in the menu makes no difference.

So the issue is still not working? Are you using sync 3 or sync 2?
