2016 Police Utility

Hello. I am new to the forum and am hoping anyone can help me. I have a 2016 Police Interceptor Utility and am having a hard time finding a way to install my after market double dinn touch screen stereo. Everyone is telling me there is mo way to do it without buying a $550 installation kit, which will also make my climate control digital, but this also gives me a cut out for my unit os 8", and my unit is 6" or 7". Does anyone have any ideas on if this is possible for me to do especially a cheaper option?

I believe most PIU models come with the 4" Sync 1 screen.

Yes. I do not know if it has sync. No touch screen or Bluetooth capability... have you heard of any upgrades? I have talked to many people and they say no upgrade is available.

SYNC has a center display that shows basic information, such as caller ID, song titles, a digital clock, and temperature. https://owner.ford.com/support/how-tos/sync/what-sync-version-do-I-have.html
The Owner's Manual also has a section; SYNC (if equipped) on page 258 of the 3rd printing. It should help determine if you have Sync.

I do not have caller ID because I cannot connect my phone to it. There isn't a way to do so.
