2016 xlt 3.5 NA Im lost ???????

I have a 2016 xlt with the 3.5 NA recently replaced the water pump and thermostat. Overheating is no longer an issue BUT the check engine light is on and car idles like it wants to shut off but doesn't and acceleration seems delayed as well. What could my issue be ? any advice would be greatly appreciated
also i did all the work myself to avoid extremely high cost of replacement from a shop

How many miles are on the vehicle? Did you check to see if there was coolant mixed with the oil in the engine before you replaced the pump?

Not timed correctly when installing the timing chain or a wiring harness miscue.

I wouldn't be driving it around in this unknown state.

Hook up a scan tool and see if you get any trouble codes, which you should with the check engine light on. All the better if it can do realtime live data.

I'd also look around at the vac lines and wiring in case something didn't go back together right.

You only did the water pump, not the timing chain/components? Did the chain have to come off so it could be out of timing now?
