I have 2017 Explorer. I get tis message all the time, especially if use cruise control "pre-collision assist is not working sensor is blocked"

bump for op. any issues with the wiring? wonder what CC has to do with jt

If your Ex is equipped with the adaptive cruise control that is probably why you are seeing the error message. I believe the same sensor is used for both. IIRC its located in the lower front bumper. If you recently changed something down there it could throw the sensor off. It could also be the sensor itself is no good

Welcome to the Forum.
The sensor is located behind the white spot next to the foglamp. It is used for both the Adaptive Cruise and Forward Collision controls. Check to see if it is blocked or loose.
