Sorry it is the new guy... I was wondering if anyone can help me trouble shoot what is wrong with the LED fog light on our Ford Explorer. It has power to it, no troubles there. But the light does not work. It has what looks like a ballast of some sort secured to the bottom of the Fog light fixture. How do you know if you need a new ballast or a new bulb ? Or can you even replace just the bulb, I have not taken it apart yet. I am trying to figure out what I need before I dissassemble it. It is a used car with 45000 miles on it and the light was working fine when we first got the car about 3 months ago. Thanks for your help, Dale.

Welcome to the Forum Dale.
The Owner's Manual says LED is not serviceable and to see your dealer about it. I'm not sure if that is actually necessary or not. In reading the following, it seems it may be the bulb. is it a bad ballast or bulb in my car - Google Search

If the 17 is the same as the 16 I think it can be replaced.

I changed the ones on my 16 to LED myself. Took just minutes.

I'd check Amazon and get a new bulb.
