2018 Explorer Sport Sony audio

have a 2018 Explorer Sport with the Sony audio system.
The system I believe is 7 speakers with a sub.
Within the past several months the system has become muddy sounding and the front door separates sound the worst. The highs are gone and the tweets barely Have sound coming from them.
I’m wondering if this is a speaker issue or possibly an amp issue?
Anyone have this issue at all?
I have considered speaker replacement but don’t want to be disappointed if the replacements have the same muddy, dim sound.

Without being able to see or hear what you are, it sounds like the tweeter have blown

The extent of it makes me think amp, if you have access to Forscan or similar dealer level diagnostics you can check the amp for error codes. You'd be shocked at the level of detail available via OBD reporting if you have access to all modules. Most OBD readers will only do basic engine/emissions related stuff though. You could also pull the speakers and check resistance and/or take them to a stereo shop and have them hook them up and test them to see if they're the issue or not.
