20's or 22's

i have a 96 xlt with 2in drop and was debating on 20's or 22's but i dont want to be riding on "blades"... i need some meat on the tire so potholes wont mess up rims... i was going to buy 20x9 with a +24 offset with a 245/40 tire but i want something thats going to fill the wheel wells up... any pictures with 20's or 22's on a 2nd gen or any suggestions?

I would recommend that you keep at least at 35 profile tire so whatever size rim you can fit with that.

i want to go with a 40 series at least but whats the biggest tire size i can go with a 20x9 or a 22x9? plus i have a 2in drop
