The wrangler rts' on my 2002 ST have seen better days. I am looking into getting a new set of more aggressive tires and am leaning towards the hankook dynapro atm's. After doing plenty of research, I have seen alot of conflicting advice. Will 265/70 16 fit a stock ST with no rubbing? I would like to run the tallest tire possible without ruining my fuel mileage. Are 265/75s out of question for a stock ST? If you have a pic of 265/70 next to a 255/70, please share!!

You can run all the way up to 275/70-16 and be fine.
265/75's are a hair taller but on stock wheels they'd barely rub if they did at all.
265/70-16 or 31x10.5-15 would be a good size.

265/70/16 are the perfect size for a stock height Trac if you don't won't rub or mess up the reading of your speedo/odometer. I mounted 265/70/16 Bridgestone Dueler APT III's and it gave it a more aggressive look and better ride IMO. There are pictures in my albums. I'll post pictures of my Trac from stock to now with all the stages it's been through. Also, 265/70/16's are an easy size to get, cheaper then 255's for the most part.

im running 265/75/16 duratracs which are a nice meaty tire with just a 1.75 torsion twist in the front, and no rubbing at all.

This is right after I bought the Trac with the 255/70/16's...

Thanks for all the input guys!! Midnightrebel, your pics were especially useful. My local Discount Tire happened to have the Hankook Dynapro ATMs in stock, so I had the 265/70 16's mounted and love them!!
These are great tires, my ST rides a lot smoother and there is a lot less body roll around corners. I was afraid that performance would be affected by going to a bigger tire, but these tires perform much better than the Wrangler RTs' that were on before. Not to mention they look great!!

Below are a couple before and after pics:

Looks good man. If you haven't done them yet you'll wanna change out the stock sway bar endlinks for Moog Problem Solvers and the crappy shocks.

Looks good. Any change from the stock tires is an improvement in performance. Have you found any rub at all?

Also, welcome to the site!
