Yes they should fit, they aren't really any taller than 265's they are just wider. And they are kinda an oddball size, I was only able to find them in a 70 series.

Well im looking and i think i can put 285's in the front if 275's arnt any taller

i need some thing taller then 265

And leave 265's i the rear? Is your X 2wd?

yeah it sounds funny i know im not lifting the back with spacers just coils

so it will sit lower

The 275 is the tire width in millimeters...now weither your tires are 70's or 75's that is the sidewall height in millimeters.

Some tire web sites have a tire calculator that converts the tires to inch sizes like ex. 31x10.5-16

Almost, the first number, 275, is the width in millimeters, but the second number (70,75 or whatever), is the height in percentage compared to the first number. So a 275/70R16 is 275mm wide, and the side wall is 192.5mm (70% of the first number).

If you did the math, a 16" rim is 406.4mm, and the tire sidewall is 192.5mm (70% of 275) in a 275/70R16 tire. So, 406.4 mm+192.5 mm+192.5 mm = 706mm, which equals a 31.15" tall tire.

Hope that helps.

i just want to get a taller tire then 265 and 275.

how much taller is 285

my tires stick out realy far so i dont think that rubing is going to be a problem

So no one thinks with 2 inch spacers 285's will fit

how much taller is 285

as explained above, 285 is not the height of the tyre - it is the width. Assuming fitting to the same size rims, the height is determined by a combination of widh and aspect ratio (ie 265/75 is taller than 265/65, but 285/50 is not as tall as 265/65, and 285/70 is the same height as 265/75). However, if you go tall and skinny (say a 255/80), then you have less chance of scraping on plastic bits than if you went with a 265/75 - the extra width means the diagonal distance across the tread is more than on a skinny tall tyre. The height will still matter in terms of whether or not it fits under the guard, but the combination of height and width will determine if it hits when turning or going over bumps etc.

If you want the tallest tyre you can fit with a 2" lift, then a 275/75/16 (or 275/70/17) would probably be the limit (a touch over 32", compared to a 265/75/16 which is a touch under 32")

just curious ???

are you going for a BAJA type look ????

yes im tryn to get glass for the front as well
