will 29/8.50-15 Super Swamper TSL Tire fit on a stock explorer rim?

stock rim is 7".. up to a 11.5 can fit on a 7" wide rim without problems.. Some have put a 12.5 on a 7" rim. Just for comparison.. on many explorers 235/75/15 was stock.. That tire is a 9.3" wide tire so you should have no issues

alright thanks buddy because i found tsl super swampers on JCWhitney for $97 a peice with free shipping. Cant beat that just wanted to make sure they would fit with no problem.

One note, a stock 235/75R15 is about 9.5 inches wide, so you would be getting a thinner tire. If it were me I would go to at least a 10.5 width.

Also your putting a smaller tire on than stock.. a stock 235 series is 29" tall..

Not really, most tires measure short, My 235s measured 27", my 31s measured 29.5, my 33s measure 32" and my 34s measure 32.5.

But he's looking at Super Swampers... Super Swamper tires measure very close to what they say they are. I've seen a set of 31" Thornbirds stand up taller than 35" cheapo tires. (Thornbirds on 8" rims, 35's on wide rims).

And why would you want to go to a 29x8.50? At least get a 30x9.50, or you'll be much happier with making a 31x10.50 work.

Not always true, like I said, my swampers measure 1.5" short as do the majority of tires I've seen. I agree 31x10.50s would be the best choice.

I have 31 10.5 and they measured barley over 30 bran new so they were pretty close. I agree 31 10.5, you will be happy with them
