how big a TV could i flush mount in my Dash that way? just curious....did either of yall do a write up?

6/7" will fit with little cut/bondo/glass work, drew (expo5.0) himself did a 11" mount but the air vents were lost and blocked off. there was no worklog done on this. it currently rests in my truck, but was completely done by drew (about a 2 week turn around period), if you're interested, i'm sure he'd be more than happy to do one for you as his truck is in the shop and isn't all that busy right now.

hmmm....but what to do with my pioneer cd player now....i dont have the full length console so im kind of confused. Could i relocate my AC controls to say inside my middle console?

It's going to be 10x easier to relocate that CD player of yours than AC controls, I'll be honest with you. Have a pic of your console? I'm sure one of us could figure something plausible out.. anything is possible.

i could even extend you console for you at the same time... and locate the hu there along with anything else you might want such as ps2 or equalizer etc.

Does anybody know where I can find a double-DIN TV? Im thinking of putting one of those in the console. Ive also got a DEHP-3500 and love it and want to keep it so I would have to mount that elsewhere.

TV's aren't sized/measured in DINs. No matter what, you're going to have to do some glass/bondo work to get a nice flush mount in the dash like drew had done to mine, there's just no other possible way. Also, the mount was tipped upwards as the stock turn-down of the radio bezel would defeat the purpose of having a TV there. This is what I mean:

Dirty picture, but compare that lip where the screws are to yours, you'll notice quite a difference as the TV lays out farther (ultimately centered both ways). I highly suggest talking with drew on getting this done if you'd like, he's done quite a few of HU relocations and a few static TV mounts in an X dash before, well worth it too.

actually there is a kenwood unit and an accelle unit that are double din tv's/hu's both. However, they both run well over 1k at wholesale, and would replace your hu that you said you liked. i believe both have 6" screens.

approxamatly how much would you charge for the dash and console, if i bought and shipped the TV, Playstation 2, and Headunit. I want my cd player and screen like yours, and the playstation 2 sitting on the floor. How much would that cost?

Try and contact him on AIM as svt exploder. Or even just e-mail him. Don't think you'll need to send that PS2 of yours though, just the screen and your dash/console will do. Again, speak to him in a PM/AIM, easiest way to get ahold of him.

ohh...guess i coulda got that number huh....doh

but this projects got to go on the backburner Last night my radiator was pretty much destroyed, leaving me stranded on side a desert road for about 2 hours (from 11 pm till like 1 am) trying to fix it. I finally just filled it with Stop-Leak and water and drove home as fast as i could with my brother following me. So today im having them replace it, do a full tune-up, change the oil, order a new rear leaf (i finally figured out that the sqeeking thats been driving me crazy isnt the springs or the shocks), and im having the breaks checked because theyve been squeeling. And sometime this week im having my brother in law drive it to work so the mechanic can install my new radio bezel and armrest that i have waiting up their. I might also take it and get limo tint this weekend, but i doubt it cause im moving. Ive got a good shop thatll take off my current tint and lay down darkest legal all around with 80% mirror. Thatll be the next step.
