Curious if that 5.0l will really turn my 2 door sport into a real mud monster ive seen 2wd f150s with big blocks tear up stuff the 4wd guys got stuck in. Im real big on offroading and am going to approch this with caution will a v8 really put out that much power also is there any stock 4wd 2 door sports? Would a locker still be needed if i drop a 5.0 in?

4WD is the way to go for mud. 4L w/4WD > 5L w/2WD. The only way a 2WD F150 is going to beat a 4WD is if the rear wheels have more aggressive rubber on them... rubber you could put on a 4WD too.

Problem is i really only like the 2 door sport and i dont think they ever made them in awd let alone 4×4

Huh? Of course they made them in 4x4. A 4x4 with air lockers would be the way the way to go for off-roading/mudding IMO, but I'm not an off-road guy.

What year 2 door sports are 4x4 im thinking of buying another in 4wd and keep mines for parts and pass all my upgrades over to the 4wd. I couldve bet that the sports were all 2wd

All the Gen 1 Sports ('95-'01) were available with 4WD and probably at least through '05. I'm not current on anything beyond '02. Saying 2 door and Sport is redundant. All Sports are 2 doors. At least 1/2 of the ones I see for sale on CL are 4WD, maybe more. The biggest problem with them is that most of them have the 4.0L SOHC engine, which was the least reliable engine available, and no Sports were available with the 5.0L V8 or the 4406 t-case.

My brother's 02 sport is a 4.0/4x4
