3.0L engine information.

I have a 1995 Aerostar XLT, and a 1996 Ranger....both have a 3.0L engine.The engine in the Aerostar works,just needs a few small things fixed,the engine in the Ranger needs major work.I was wondering if the engine from the Aerostar will fit in the Ranger?

It should be the same mechanically, but keep in mind that the 95 is EEC-IV while the 96 is OBD-II. You might have to swap some electrical parts.

I'm not sure about the Ranger, but the 95 3.0 Aerostar has 2 drive belts while the 96 has one.
