Sorry for starting a new thread the old was was being bogged down. But I just got my tune-up and all seems fine except the shuttering at low rpms. The mech told me it was a bad head. 301 and also I am leaking from the water pump. How long does this beast have life in it? If it is over 600+ I will sell it. Or get a new engine. The sucker that sold it to me knew it had a bad head, hence the reason for selling it. On a good note when in drive the car seeems to run good and nohesitation. But at low rpms at idle it bogs down almost like it wants to die. What is exactly a 301 code? He changed the plugs and wires. My next step would be a fuel filter change and then a MAF cleaning. Then I will look at the injectors. I hate to spend 1000 to put a new engine in it seeing I only paid 1500 for it. Any ideas from the old timers on what I should do now?
