Picked up a new set of snow tires on 18in 2009 factory wheels. gives a nice new look but they may have to go black according to my wife. we shall see. Either way nice to have grip on the snow and ice when I need it.

Here are a few pics of mine. Mods are Flowmaster 40 replacement muffler, CAI, black housing headlights, blacked out trim and badges, billet grills, 4500k hid's, custom rifle/shotgun rack. Bought it with a bad engine and a trans missing 3rd gear.

Yeah I've got D2S going in. Looking forward to do it. Gotten tired of being the a**hat with HIDs in stock housings. Finally got around to doing the retrofit.

So if you're wondering what the black ring is I used, it's hubcentrics ring. Running bigger wheels and tires, I felt it was important to make sure the rim sat in the lip of the hip to give support to the rim and take away stress from the lig nuts and lugs.

Off ebay and we're just a few dollars for the added insurance.

Thanks! The rack is out of a crown Vic normally used for a vertical mount but I modified it to work horizontally. I added a cross bar and mounted it to where the coat hooks normally go in the back. It has Santa Cruz gun locks for a remington 870 and an ar15.

Awesome, that's what I installed in my Explorer. Did the final tweeking a couple of days ago.

Morimoto Mini D2S 3.0's with a DDMTuning 55W 5000k D2S kit.
I'm interested int heir new ultra kit.

I'm trying to sell these so that I can do another retro on the explorer.
I don't know that I care for the MD2S projectors. I did MH1 6.0s on my wifes car but I think I want to do an FXR 3.0 on the explorer with a modified shield.

General Grabber AT2 with American Racing ATX Crawl wheels, 17x8 with 4.5" backspacing.

what mods suspension ?

can you tell us what kind of mods you dis to the explorer and what tire size are you running , any wheel spacer ?

No wheel spacers, just 17x8" American Racing ATX Crawl wheels with 4.5" backspacing with 265/70/17 General Grabber AT2 tires. Suspension is BTF coil spacers + UCA's. I bought materials for an additional 1.5" body but never installed it because I think it might make the tires look too small.
