3rd gen to 4th gen interior swap

I was curious if anyone had swapped in the dash and console from a 4th gen into a 3rd gen. I prefer the console shifter to the column, and the newer dash looks a little cleaner. Has anyone seen or done this, and how difficult do you think it would be? I'm just looking for the dash and console, not the seats or anything else.

Considering the body of the truck is about identical from 02-10 it should be a near bolt in. Getting the gauges to work right would be the hard part.

I was thinking trying to get the gauges working, and relocating the shift from the column to the console would be the hardest parts.
