3V in an 02-05?

Has anyone done a 3V in an 02-05 Explorer? I am going to be removing my engine on my 03 and I was wondering about putting in a newer 3V into it. Does the computer have to get remapped or new harness?

thanks. didn't even think of checking over on corral. seems the difficulty is cable vs drive by wire. I might add trick flow heads.
