4.0 Ranger Build

Bought an old work truck ranger from a guy down by on the island and i replaced the motor and transmission, transfer case, intake manifold gasket, intake manifold, thermostat housing, battery, starter, fuel filter, torx converter, after market electrical fan with a switch, spark plugs, spark plug wires, both valve covers, maf sensor, summit racing cold air, 1.5 inch spacers, new thermostat, new catalytic converters, new tensioner, Ac delete, egr delete, snaller belt, frame is painted,

Anyway long story a bit shorter (sorry) im looking to know what i should start by doing for mods to the motor, i know underdrive pulley’s would be a good start, head studs, new headers (mine are crusty and almost at its end), im not shooting for 500hp but a little more would be fun (without blowing it up) i have over 150 hours on this truck because its my first for alot of things

500 on a v6 I've never heard of before. Besides the trans wouldn't stand up to the abuse. Moddbox makes a supercharger kit thats the best power for these. donalds on here runs one. There's a guy with a 4.0 sohc he has a GT500 blower iirc. 4pointslow he has the most built SOHC I know of. I think you could go nitrous I thikn theres guys who have done it on here I hikn Alec Rosenbaum is one. If you go v8 the sky is the limit. Welcoem to EF!

Like i said im not shooting for 500hp immostly looking for a bit more power thats it, 250-300 range would be plenty

Whoops, I missed that part... thought you were shooting for 500! 250 is achievable w/ a supercharger! check out donalds thread and 4pointslow they are a wealth of information!

Add more trans cooler so the auto trans will live with more power
