I own a Limited 2012. Since I bought it in May 2012 I had this problem of having both 4.2" screens in gouge cluster (the ones on the left and right of the speedometer) spontaneously and repeatedly turn off during driving the vehicle for 3-12 seconds and then go on again. This can happen once in a trip but can also happen 10 times during a 15 minutes 10Km trip (see this short clip http://youtu.be/vC2shy4LeXg ). In times the screens will return with different display. To try and resolve the problem I have upgraded the MFT software to the latest version. Also disconnected the battery a couple of times to try and reset the system. Nothing helped so far. When talked with my dealer about it they said they never heard of this problem before and wanted to see it with their own eyes. The last thing I want is them digging and messing with my dashboard… anyone have an idea?

No idea, but I find that occasionally mine will also show a different display then the one that I set it on as well.

Note: it would be helpful for future reference if you add the model you have to the info in the left margin. That can help in addressing certain issues not common to all models.
Happy motoring.

Thanks folks.
I was hopping there’s a way to boot or master restart the MFT in a way that will solve this… to me it looks more like a system / software failure and not a hardware problem. And as I said, the last thing I want is having my dealer messing with my dashboard…
