4.6 swap

I have a 97 mountaineer with a 5.0 and AWD and was wonderin how hard it would be to swap in a new SOHC 3 valve 4.6 V8 and trans?

As wide as a mod motor is it's not going to fit with out major fabrication.

There is not a thing wrong with the 5.0 so why on earth would you want to swap in a 4.6 in the first place.

With the money you would have in the ADD ON'S to get it to work, you could have a 450hp/450ft. lb in the form of a 331 or 347....you decide...and that's just the ADD-ONS that you would need to buy...like Custom Radiator, Custom Headers, Driveline, Steering mods, wiring, ECM tuning....

Then you have to actually get a 4.6 3V....

If I was to go through THAT much work, why settle for 3 valves, when you can have 4? And why stop there....Just get a Terminator drivetrain. They are on eBay all the time for about 9-10k.
