I just ordered my valve cover seals from rock. Felpro part number vs50377r1. States it does not come with grommets. Haven't pulled covers off yet and wondering what these 8 grommets are for. 4.6 L 2002 limited. Doing timing chain, wp and tensioners.

I believe the grommets are where the bolts go through the VC to mount it.

Ok, thanks. Maybe somebody has them separately

there are 2 different versions of the valve cover seal. One with grommets as part of the seal and one w/o.

I ordered a Felpro vs50377R1. Have no idea what is need till I get ot off. I've owned the explorer 13 yrs and never had Covers off. Seems there are 2 configurations it may have depending on build date. All I can say is its a 2002. Don't know build date.

Build date will be on the drivers door or door jamb sticker.

Thanks for the quick reply #4 . Will check after the game. Probably cancel that part of order if I can.
