4.6lt V8 Engine Removal Question

I have a Mountaineer that needs the engine pulled. While preparing to lift engine out I ran into a snag unbolting the motor mounts. Front differential is in the way of the driver side mount, so, can the single pin bolt be removed to free drivers side motor mount? I have stopped short of removing it because it is very difficult to turn. Any pdf's out there showing Engine R&R procedures?
 






For what it's worth, the Haynes manual doesn't mention anything special at all.
 






I recently changed the motor mounts on my 2003 NBX. I had to remove the (3) front differential bolts to allow it to drop a few inches to get access to the driver side motor mount-to-frame nut. If you remove the bolt holding the engine to the driver side motor mount, the engine should come free (assuming you removed the other motor mount bolt). Here's a diagram:
