When lifting the front 4" do you need anything other than the 4" coils, some longer shocks, a drop pitman arm, extended brake lines and camber bushings? The reason I ask is because I want to buy everything individually over the course of a couple months due to being poor. I searched a little but can't find exactly what I was looking for so any help is appreciated.

Yes.

You need the drop brackets to lower the I beams. 2.5" is the max without using drop brackets.

I thought I read somewhere on here awhile back that the drop brackets aren't necessary but they give you more articulation. Don't quote me on that it was probably more than a year ago that I read that so my memory isn't entirely perfect

X2 anything over 2.5 inches your need drop brackets plus everything you already listed..

Thanks for the replies. What brand of drop brackets would you recommend? because I've seen those horror stories of the bracket putting a hole in the differential and am unsure which brand didn't suck complete expletive deleted

The bracket that knocks a hole in the pumpkin is for a Rancho lift that uses the stock pivot mount, just drops it. I had both Skyjacker and Superlift brackets. Superlift cracked in a few places, and I have seen others do the same. It was a easy fix with a welder and some gussets, but I would avoid them. Skyjacker has cast brackets that seem to be very strong and have two mounting holes for the pivot bushings, making the suspension more adjustable.

I have yet to crack mine but superlift also has two holes..one for a 4" lift and one for a 6" lift..

Personally the JD 4" or 6" lift with extend arms, dual shocks is best on market. .

Could always go the cheap route, get spacers and a body lift..

why just 4 inch ??
James Duff builds the best kits for the ttb i ever saw,,their 6 inch is without peir,,
they are a bit expensive, but they are complete too,,

Check the tabs where the brackets mount to the frame. Look for a wiggly rusty line. All they did was bend a piece for tabs and its unsupported. It cracks in the bends If you triangle gusset it at the outside of the tabs, they seem to hold up. Both of mine cracked at the bend, on both tabs. I field repaired one in Truckhaven in October for reapereviltwin.
