i have a 98 explorer 4.0 with the 4405, which has failed of course. now i have a 1354e out of an 01 sport with the new style front drive shaft yoke. what can i do to make the shift motor work on this setup? replace the gem on mine from the one from the 01 sport along with the switch? i know the harness that comes down to my t-case has alot more wires because of the T.O.D. coil and all, but can i make it work by swapping some wires on the connectors?
dont suggest going 1354m please, i know its easier and all that but its a daily driven truck that my girlfriend will be driving my kids around in so i dont care to cut up the floor or remove the full console in it.
