4405 tranfer case into a ranger

I am wanting to put a 95-96 Explorer control trac transfer case into a gen 1 ranger for the Full time 4x4 option . What would be the process of doing this if it can be done ? Would I have to get a gem and wiring from an explorer to operate corectly of could I create custom switches to operate this case. I had also thought about a 4406 tod from a expedition but I dont know that it will fit my lb 84 ranger ..... any thoughts or suggestions?

way too much work than its really work.........you really dont want auto4x it sucks hard.....you would need all the wiring for the case and suck, it sensed diffrences in speed of the front and rear output and then equalizes them. its realyl harsh when it does engage.
