4406 transfer case for AWD 5 speed conversion.

I'm starting to acquire the parts I'm going to need to do the switch on my 2000 XLT 5.0 from the stock AWD auto to 5 speed manual. I am looking at a transfer case now. It says its from a 1997 F150 4406 electric shift. Is this the one I need and will just still need to acquire a manual shifter for it? Or do I need to keep looking for one that has the manual shifter on it from stock?

You'll need an actual manual shift case if you want to shift it that way.

Just curious, what are you taking the 5-speed from? Very interested to know how that swap goes for you.

I haven't acquired the 5 speed yet but from reading in these forums it needs to be an F150, 1997-2003 with the 4.2L engine.
