I'm looking to clean up my rear end...haha. 3 things I'd like to do:
(1) Install 4-door multi-leaf springs
(2) Replace all rear suspension rubber bushings with polyurethane
(3) Paint all components including rear axle, leaf springs, shackles, links, sway bar, driveshaft, anything removable, etc.

My questions:
(1) Mainly looking to do this for looks. I know the upgrade is suppose to lift the rear nominally, and I just got bigger tires, so I would like to get them in quickly so I can match a front TT and get my alignment. My friend has a old beat-up 92 EB and is willing to swap springs with me. Is there a possibility I will be downgrading with his worn springs even though they are multi-leaf? Should I just buy new ones?

(2) What can I replace? Leaf spring & shackle bushings, rear sway bar bushings, shock absorber bushings? Btw, I believe I'm using DesertRat extended shackles.

(3) This will be my first time painting anything. What paint should I use, Dupli-Color/Plasti-Kote, POR-15, powder coat, bed liner? What about the leaf springs and their flexibility?

Thank you.

get an EE rear sway bar.
Worth every penny

1) Buy the newses ones you can from a junk yard. Expect to pay about $100.00 for the pair give or take a few bucks

Check my useful threads in the signature. There is a "painting undercarriage" section in there somewhere. I used bed liner spray can, but some use just rustolem
