4th Gen Explorer Pictures

Hey guys! First post in here, I’m a Junior in highschool and I own 2 clean Explorers. My white one is an 07 with roughly 180k miles with the 4.0 and my black X has about 135k with the 4.6.

Love these cars to death and I want to fit 35s on my black one. Can anyone give some tips and pointers for modifying my fender and bumper to fit 35s without rubbing?

Also are there any shock/suspension kits that aren’t OEM

(Both cars are lifted 2.5”)

Whats the tire/wheel specs on the white one? Im picking up an 06 to replace my 98 and want to keep my 15x8s with 31/10.50s

I had a little scare in December, my transmission went out on day 1 of hunting season in PA. Luckily, I wasn't up in the game lands yet or I might still be there. A local dealer offered to put a new trans in for $6K. I had it towed 150+ miles back to suburban Philly to the trans shop I used last year. It was rebuilt again for FREE under warranty due to a defective torque converter. I'm very happy that my 15 year old, 153K mile EB is still on the road. And you can trust TransMan Transmission shop in Eddystone, PA.

How'd you get your black plastic trim to look so good? Mine have aged to a hazy shade of gray lol. As for shock/suspension kits, I just finished doing a coilover conversion on the front of mine and it's looking pretty good so far:

Any ideas on how to get rid of this "hazy gray look on black plastic" ?

Yes! Sometimes, an off the shelf trim restorer works, and although you have to continuously reapply every few months, its the easiest solution. The second easiest is a heat gun, that *usually* works. I would follow up with a protectant after that to keep it from hazing again. And lastly trim and bumper paint. It gets rid of the texture, but its a gloss black. But it changes the texture if its textured, and takes the most effort, so Id do other things before that.
