This looks oddly familiar lol. Been a while sense I’ve been here. About to pick up a 4.6 Eddie Bauer and transfer all the parts from my truck to it. My old truck, something big is coming. About to change the 4th gen game…. Stay tuned

I would never SAS. The all independent is unique! 7.3 might not be too far off, but that’d only be 10% of the build :) Lake Arrowhead

Nice ride

By the way, there is no manual lockers for the gen4s.
The wheels hubs are welded assemblies instead of the old style truck hubs

Without the wheel fenders looks amazing!

Installed Auxito LEDs for the headlamps and the fogs, very happy so far.

Hey guys! First post in here, I’m a Junior in highschool and I own 2 clean Explorers. My white one is an 07 with roughly 180k miles with the 4.0 and my black X has about 135k with the 4.6.

Love these cars to death and I want to fit 35s on my black one. Can anyone give some tips and pointers for modifying my fender and bumper to fit 35s without rubbing?

Also are there any shock/suspension kits that aren’t OEM

(Both cars are lifted 2.5”)

Just a little update picture. Finished installing a Truxxx 2.5 in. front lift and 1.25 in. with .5 in. booster spacer in the rear. Truck sits nice and level with all my tools in the back. Sitting on some 265/70/17 Mastercraft Trails. Next project is dropping the rear differential and throwing a Spartan lunchbox locker in it for some wheeling fun. It also has the brown wire mod for 4th Gens except its a little different than the 2 speed TCs from the Explorer. All in all a fun vehicle to drive even with 216k
