Snow mode to get moving on icy surfaces or climb out of ruts...then normal mode.
Mud mode for Mud and turning in deeper, snow / icy conditions, otherwise snow mode doesn't want you to slip....and that's bad if you're sliding while trying to turn..it wont send power to the wheels.
In a 50/50 power split 4x4 or AWD when this happens you give it some gas to step the back end out to help push the front end while it pulls you in the line you want to go.
I want a 50/50 split setting.
