4x4 badge on '08s?

I saw a new explorer (2008 I think) with a 4x4 badge while I was visiting family in Colorado. The 02-05 explorers didn't come with a 4x4 badge, I was thinking about getting the ford dealer to order me the part. Any chance someone could post a picture of their liftgate with the 4x4 badging so I can get a better look at it before I order it, and also what years it came on? I've never seen a 4x4 badge on a 06 or 07 model.

The 4X4 badge is new for 2008. Also the style of the V8 badge is different for 2008.

If you go into "Modified 2006 and up explorers" and go to the topic called "Wider tires on Ex" you can see pictures of the badge of a 2008 linited V8 4X4 as well as a 2006 limited V8.

Not sure what the emblem you are referring to looks like, but I saw these at Wal-Mart the other day...

Looked identical to that, they were about 3 bucks each. Probably cheaper than the dealership would be. They were about approximately 1.5"x4" in size.

Thanks for the tip, I really like the look of that 4x4 badge, and thought it was odd Ford decided not to distinguish between the 2wd's and the 4wd's after '96.

what's funny is on my 02, the v8 badge is above the advance trac badge. it looks like on the newer styles, they put the v8 badge under the advance trac badge. and now don't put it on at all, they put the 4x4 on if equiped.

As far as other 4x4 stickers and such go, I'm a big fan of OEM stuff, so I didn't want aftermarket 4x4 stickers or badging on my truck.
