5.0 convert to manual

Me and Supraman have been considering converting our 99 and 00 sports to the 5.0. If we do though we would like to keep the same manaual tranny from our ohv's. how much/difficult would it be to convert it to the mazda 5 speed?

The search button is your friend. Someone on the forum is already working and I think might be complete with the swap. Note: the OHV tranny will not work.

You can use a M5OD transmission....just not YOUR M5OD transmission.

Nick26 has completed the swap. You will keep your pedal assembly, but everything else downstream will be replaced.

Search for his thread on the install process....it was VERY informative, and he even posted part numbers to get from the dealer or the parts store. It was ALL done using Ford/OEM Parts.
