I got bored on my day off and ran over to AutoZone (cringe) and picked up a MAF adapter for about $12. Grabbed a 3 inch ID x 5in K&N cone filter at work and ripped the air box out of my 97 5.0. $50 and it only occupied 10 mins of my time but I was wondering if anyone has noticed any differencs after just sticking a open elemnt cone filter on the 302s, whether it be postive or negative. Any repsonse is appreciated.

I made my own out of 3" metal pipe welded at an angle to a piece of flat steel drilled to bolt up to my MAF. I made an air curtain to stop the hot engine air from getting to the filter. I got decent results on my stock motor.
