I keep reading about this "o-ring" part when you replace the gasket on your thermostat housing but I can't find it in any parts catalog.
There's this small leak that's developing under the thermostat housing, that is common on our trucks, that I went ahead and ordered a new gasket and thermostat just for good measure but there are no o-rings listed under the parts drop down menu.
I have the thermostat (part# RT1139 ~ 192F Temp), gasket (RG-605) and a permatex gasket sealant.
If i do need this elusive o-ring, what is the part number for it? Does it go in the front/top of the thermostat?
I want to make sure I have all the parts before I start unbolting stuff.
Btw, the o-ring isnt even mentioned on the haynes manual..
Thanks guys!!!
