5.0L 302 for my explorer

I have just gotten a 5.0L 302 out of a 94 mustang and need to know if any one can tell me if my stock tranny can hold up to the power differance from the 4.0L?

that tranny wont even bolt up. Best to grab an AOD or swap to an explorer comp to use a 4r70w

Assuming it could bolt up, it would probably work as long as yo udon't plan on pushing the accelerator past 1/4" down

Get a tranny that would go with it and use that.

You already got the 5.0L for the conversion and dont know what transmissions will work?
