A co-worker has a 2005 ranger 4.0sohc 5 speed 4x4 with 30,000 miles. There is a scrapping type noise only in 2nd gear. Does not matter if clutch is in or out. This is not a loud noise. Can be heard without radio on. The GM dealer (where it was purchased from) has changed the fluid and repositioned the shifter. The noise has come back after a couple days. The dealer to it to their Ford dealer and said nothing is wrong. What are your thoughts?
