Hey everyone, I have a 2000 ford explorer with the 5r55e with 130k miles....Ive started having a problem with it slipping while in reverse and also slips (500 rpm increase during shift) while shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear. Checked fluid and noticed it was low and fluid looked burnt. Added fluid but still slipping. Have read alot of threads on how the valve body gaskets blow out alot on these....so my question is would the valve body gasket cause this? ....any ideas on a fix would be greatly appreciated....thanks
