Hello Forum,
The 5R55W transmission does not use the typical dipstick for checking fluid. Instead they figured that crawling under the truck to check the fluid with tools is probably a much better method. Start the truck,crawl underneath, and locate the smaller bolt on the pan. Usually a bigger bolt with a SMALLER BOLT IN THE CENTER OF THE BIG ONE. Remove the smaller center bolt. If fluid doesn't drip steadly, then its low on fluid.
