I have a 6 Disc CD changer in the arm rest of my 1997 Ford Explorer. It doesn't work. I hear it load the disk, but then it tries to play it, and just skips to the next disc. At first I thought the CDs were upside down, so I flipped em all over to no avail.
These are home burned discs, but they are in CD format, and I assume that isn't a problem for these changers.
Is there any hope of breathing life into it, or do I just pronounce it and get a replacement? I am not crazy about spending money that I can save, but I do want my CD changer working.
Any thoughts?
