2010 Sport Trac Adrenalin
Ive been trying to find the definitions for a 2010 sport trac adrenaline for Engine and Trans tuning. This is my wife's truck and I planned on throwing a tune on it anyways, I have the software to edit but I dont have the software to pull the files from the truck or the definitions for the ECM. I have a feeling that this truck had a handheld tuner installed to it before as it runs very rich when idling (enough to smell the unburnt fuel) and trans shifts erratically. Coming from a stand still the trans rushes through gears 1-4 not locking the converter in any of those gears but sits in 5th and 6th for the majority of normal load acceleration, also it has no issues with locking up in 5th and 6th. I am by no means a transmission pro considering if I had it my way everything would be manual. Any info to help is appreciated but I AM NOT looking for a handheld tuner, I do not care for them and I will not run them. I am also not looking to toss money at this thing, if im told it needs an entire trans I will continue to try and tune it until the trans goes because I plan on putting a newer 6r80 with standalone controller into it anyways

i dont have anything helpful to add, but curious what software you use to tune? i have a 5 star tune on my 2010 adrenalin and the shifting is much better than oem, but the engine has some strange behavior with either the intake runner control or the cam timing sometimes...

As of right now I use RomRaider for my BMW but I plan on using TunerPro to edit the tables, I'm a hands-on person and I like to adjust things myself to my exact liking. I dont have anything against "mail-in" tunes it's just if I can do it myself I would much rather do it myself. Describe what you mean as strange behavior, I've noticed myself that the switch over from runner length is pretty dramatic in engine performance.

should be able to pull stock files from Ford using the ford diagnostics SW (Vxdiag??)

I didn't know ford diag tool could pull the .bin files..... I was a Certified Chrysler Tech for awhile but Mopar's tool doesnt allow you to download the files so didn't think much of ford's
