My new 700r4 is on its way... The first one installed lasted < 400 miles. The verdict was a broken (cracked) input housing and 3 burnt discs.
My question is... Where/what is the input "housing". Is this something easy to break (I doubt, but I have to ask), and what would normally cause that to break...
This was/is in our '92 XLT using the advanced adapter kit..
The tranny is a bowtie overdrives Stage 2. They paid for shipping back to them, repair and shipping back to me. I'm just trying to figure out what broke and how it could have broken...
