88 Bronco II
Hey all, Haveign trouble with my son's 88 Bronco II. WHen the key is turned the engine turns for a couple secs then the starter disengages while the key is still turned . If you keep trying to start it, eventually the engines catches. I'm wondering if it could be the starter relay or maybe the starter itself.
ANy ideas? Thanks

Check the battery terminals first make sure they're clean. I had starting issues where it wouldn't do anything, but I didn't even think about the battery since the radio, and lights worked fine. But the terminals were just dirty enough to cause a no start. If that doesn't work take the starter in to your local parts shop and have it tested, they should do it for free. If it's fine then it's most likely the relay, which is just a quick $15 fix.
