Wondering if there is a bad injector? How can I diagnose a FI problem without changing the injectors? Could a slightly plugged injector cause the slight skip and the check engine flashing? Is there feedback from the injectors to the ECU?

My 96 4.0 has a bad injector. Figured it out after I kept having to change the same plug. I'd change the plugs then check them after you experience the problem again (if it goes away).

Got it sorted out. Runs great now. New idle control valve, new coolant sensor and new manifold air temperature sensor. Must have been one of these causing problem. Sold it to a friend in Jeffersonville, Indiana. All is well, he likes it!
