So I did some dumb stuff this weekend and while off-road the bottom of the truck found a massive log. While by myself I didn’t see any option other than to just give it some gas to get over the log and get home. After I got home I looked for damage, everything was fine except the transfer case. The case itself is cracked, and looks like it cracked from the inside out.

I went online to LKQ and to car-part.com to find a replacement, and I cannot for the life of me find the AB, only AA and AC. This is the factory driveline, no modifications except a lift and 33”s. Is this a special transfer case, and if so can anyone point me to which one I can switch it with? Thanks.

This the auto wrecking hot line page. I found 3 pages of That engineering number near my zip code.
Just enter your zip and what you find I buy over 150 cases a year the west coast cases can have less time corrosion on them.

P.s. the car-part page dose use the Hollander interchange data for compatibility.

Yeah, I’m in Texas and there wasn’t that kind of availability near me for some reason. I did find one, but it was 8L24-7A195-AA and I’ve been driving the heck out of the truck for a week and so far zero issues. As a matter of fact, i used to hear an intermittent groaning noise under load before swapping t-cases, and with the new one in there noise is gone and everything is the same minus the t-case. Makes me wonder if it was already on its way out. Will continue to update, gonna try to tear the old t-case apart and see what happened.
