'91 -'94 subtle engine changes

As I look under the hood of my '91 and my nephews '94 I can see some minor Intake manifold changes.

Id there any 'real' changes? Horsepower, Different sized injectors? anything subsatantial?
As a side bar: Did Plugs and wires the other day. The plugs had less then 30K on them. I got some lean burning plugs ...What do you think, Injectors not giving a good pattern? The engine has 285K miles on it.

the egr system changed and the engine in 93 or 94 gained 10 hp if i remember right.
