92 Sport low oil press indication - FIXED

I have a 92 explorer sport with 172000 miles and I want to keep this thing running as long as possibe. When the truck is at idle, the oil pressure indications are normal. As soon as the truck starts to move, the oil pressure goes to the lowest normal indication and occasionally into the red. Is there anyway to tell if the oil pressure sending unit is bad? If it is the oil pressure, where can I buy a new or remanufactured oil pump? Any help appreciated!

You will need to get a real oil pressure gage. oil pumps are cheap and easy to get, but you will need to pull the engine to get to it.

A new oil pressure sending unit from the dealership for $24 solved this problem!
