93 Budget Build

Well picked up a 93 to drive while im building my ranger up.

Payed 600 for it with 124,x.. had a miss, cracked window, nasty head liner and carpet and bald tires. Good thing was it was from california and has not a spec of rust. And wrecked some in the front.

Got her home tore the head liner and carpet out, because it was caked with ****. Than changed the plugs because i had a feeling they were originals, bam the miss is gone and runs like a champ.

Bought some 15inch d windows with 30x9.5x15 mudkings that have great tread but a bit of dry rot for 100.

Took her on the trails, never got stuck and shes a blast. Didnt like how my front u joints sound!

Put some new speakers and a deck in her.

Pictures will be supplied tomorrow, a little backround, the ranger im building is going on dana 60s, cummins 4bt, zf5 speed, a bunch of other goodies, long build!

Build Plans-

Me i cant keep any vehicle stock so this one will be a good daily driver/ weekend wheeler.

66-76 F150 front coils from moog part number- CC810
Hd coil seats for 66-76 bronco from James Duff
James Duff Coil buckets
James Duff Long Arms
James duff Shocks front and back.
Warrior Shackles for the rear.
2 inch body lift.

Im still deciding on the gears,lockers and tires i want to do.

Note this will take a while too,just things as i go along.

I thought this was a budget build?

They both sound like fun projects, can't wait to see some pics of both.

Hahah we all know how that ends up. Ranger was supposed to be the same and now look at what it has planned.

I forgot to get pictures as i was not home so ill for sure post pictures, once i get a job progress will pick back up.
 






yea if you plan on James Duff parts its going to take a LARGE budget to build?what size tires are you planning on running, because all that lift for 30s?why f150 coils?why not james duff early bronco coils?why 2" body,should just do 3"

My idea of budget is 2500 for when the rig is completed, thats a very capable trail rig and excellent daily driver.

Im going to play with the idea of 34-35 depending on what i do with bump stoping.


The 30s are just because i needed tires that werent bald.

F150 coils were tested by a guy with a b2 and the same set up im doing, he got amazing flex out of them and they give about 2.5 in of lift.

Im putting a 2 inch body lift because i dont want a super high rig, 4.5 in with 35s will be ideal to me.
 






Slacking on the pictures, i know trying to find a memory card around here.

Took the tail lights out and tinted them suckers, same with 3rd brake light, looks super nice.

Also took the throttle body off. Did the throttle body mod, cleaned it, lubed the bearings, and im going to paint it. May play with the dremel on it a bit, same with intake.
 






Well heres a update still no pictures.

I got the throttle body done, it works great.

I also got a job so its going to pick up some.

Im picking up a set of skyjacker 132 springs and 4 shocks for 100 bucks. Had them on my ranger and i liked them,i actually got decent flex from them and when i do extended radius arms it should be nice.

I knew that was coming! Hahahha going to buy a memory card after work tomorrow.

Its not a bad set up, needs some work but what used vehicle doesnt.

Planing on getting that 2 inch lift, cutting 2nd cat off and 2.25 pipe all the way back to thrush turbo. And possibly getting a new window since mine is cracked to hell.

Plan on pictures tomorrow.

Promise that ahaha.
